This premium Manopoulos backgammon board has a detailed box which has been created by the Swedish design studio Front. Four different toned woods are joined together as a block, then thin layers of veneer are planed off to create the veneer.The result catches the light and gives a sense of depth to the flat surface. Front’s work is represented at MoMA, Victoria & Albert Museum and Centre Pompidou. The set includes 30 checkers in mother of pearl effect which are held in the side racks when not in use, dice and a doubling cube. A personalised message can be engraved on a silver plate (lid or front) for a special gift.
