This solar impulse set from Sol Expert is ideal as a class kit as it offers the chance to experiment with solar equipement. Providing 0.5V voltage and 100mA (max), the crystalline solar equipment has a very high efficiency cast in a base plate for stability. The solar cell SM330L is equipped with 2 solder pads that can easily be fixed to the solar motor, while pictorial instructions are included in the kit to describe the procedure. Solar motor RF300 is renowned for its reliability and starts your model without any complication. The engine and solar cells complement each other perfectly to provide optimum efficiency, while the propeller of 9.5cm ideally complements the kit.
Light is required: in dark rooms and by poorly lit or illuminated neon lamps or low-energy light bulbs, each cell provides very little electricity - it follows that the engine cannot run. But as soon as the solar cell receives sunlight it can produce up to 100mA of electricity. As the solar motor RF300 requires only a power load of 25mA to operate, it is enough to cause reserve movements and rotations. It's amazing what this little solar cell can cause such movements with just a little sun.
